Hi.I’m Chuck
I design digital products the way I used to build cars—with care, precision, and a respect for the process.
My path into design has been anything but linear. I spent a decade running a construction business, worked as a sous chef, and played in touring bands before shifting into tech in the late '90s. That early experience shaped how I think: hands-on, collaborative, and relentlessly curious.
For the past 20+ years, I’ve worked as a product designer, technologist, and creative problem solver—leading design at scale for companies like Apple, Microsoft, and eBay. My sweet spot is where systems meet storytelling: turning complex challenges into intuitive, human-centered solutions.
I’ve been an IC, a manager, a coach, and a player-coach. I believe in strong partnerships with product and engineering, fast prototyping, and design that doesn’t just look good—but works hard.
I’m currently open to principal/staff roles where I can help build great teams, mentor designers, and ship beautiful, functional products that make people’s lives better.
